We are the home of Kansas City Athletics. Our athletes compete at the highest level in collegiate basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, and volleyball.
UMKC is also home to several intramural sports, allowing anyone to jump in and play for fun and exercise.
Whether you're a player or a fan, we want to see all of our Rowdy Roos at the games, which is why attendance is free at home games when you show your student I.D.!

The Kangaroo has been UMKC’s beloved mascot since the 1930s. Over the years, the Roo has been depicted many ways — even once by Walt Disney himself! Today, we're still proud to be the Roos in the classroom, on the field and everywhere we go. Roo Up!
