IN THE MIDDLE, BUT NOT THE NORM

Inspiration is the engine of all we do at UMKC. From the health education and services provided on the Health Sciences Campus to the research and community service happening on our central campus, there is no shortage of inspiration to give and to serve at UMKC. And your generosity is fuel for that inspiration. You inspire us to strive, to achieve, to do more for our students and for our city. The UMKC Foundation is the avenue for your inspiration to support profound leaps into the pool of endless possibility provided by education — for all of us who identify as Roos.

We are connected by legacy, pride, and vision.

The future we are shaping removes barriers to unlocking potential and gives students the opportunity to live their dreams. UMKC faculty and staff are the backbone of those dreams and walk with our students through every step in their journey. Our future is also community centered. A significant capital investment in the Health Sciences Campus has energized the momentum for health-care access, health-science innovation, and training opportunities for developing professionals to meet the health-care needs of the coming decades. We’ve been given the resources to broaden our campus footprint and empower the collaborative synergy of our Hospital Hill neighbors to have a multi-generational impact. UMKC is exceptional in education, community partnership, and service. We sit in the middle of Kansas City and the country, but we are not the norm.

We are ambitious and unceasing in what we do.

And you are, too. Your insightful giving, paired with our commitment to the life-changing potential of higher education, is powerful. Your generosity brings out the best in us and in those we serve. Thank you for believing in a future that is diverse in thought, equitable in care, and that makes room for the pursuit of dreams that are too big to contain.

With gratitude,
