INTRODUCING BLUE & BOLD: THE CAMPAIGN FOR UMKC.
The campaign will raise $700 million to support a visionary strategy that will continue to raise the profile of the university and its capability to serve the future.
The campaign will provide funding for buildings and renovations, research and faculty positions, as well as student support and scholarships. We will grow our endowment to strengthen the university in the decades to come, and we will invest in the services we provide to the Kansas City community, from counseling and law clinics to innovative problem-solving and workforce development.
“While our goal is an ambitious amount, it will help us keep growing and thriving at a time when we’re already riding an incredible wave,” said Chancellor Mauli Agrawal on Oct. 17, 2025 at the State of the University, when the comprehensive campaign was announced to the campus and the community. “I’m inviting you to help turn today’s momentum into tomorrow’s breakthroughs.”
Every part of our campus and the UMKC community will be lifted through the support generated by the campaign. Now is the time to invest in a Blue & Bold future.
Campaign contributions will increase endowed assets by a total of $100 million across all affiliate foundations: UMKC Foundation, Dr. Roy J. Rinehart Memorial Foundation, the Pharmacy Foundation, the UMKC Law Foundation and the Research Foundation.
Chancellor C. Mauli Agrawal revealed the Blue & Bold campaign goal of $700,000,000 at the 2025 State of the University.

Scholarship and student support programming helps every student on our campuses fulfill their potential, complete their degree, and go on to innovate and lead in both their chosen field and in their community.
